POTENTIAL VALUE 130 MILLION EURO

Sarzana (SP), 30 July 2025 – Intermarine S.p.A. (IMMSI industrial group – IMS.MI) – global leader in design and construction of Seabed Surveillance and coastal patrol vessels – awarded the public tender issued by the Italian Coast Guard with a potential value of 130 million euro, for the construction of a class of multipurpose Coastal Patrol Vessels and related logistic support, to enhance the Italian Coast Gard operational and search and rescue capabilities. The contract, which will be signed presumably within the first week of September, after completion of the technical and administrative procedures required by the tender rules, foresees the immediate start of the construction on the first unit of the class, while the subsequent 9 vessels will be built under an optional framework, in order to complete the fleet of 10 units.

The European Invitation to Tender for new acquisitions is part of the 2021-2027 National Border Management Visa Instrument (BMVI) Programme set up to guarantee integrated management of European borders and ensure a high level of internal security while safeguarding free movement within the EU.

The vessels will strengthen and consolidate the crucial capabilities of the Italian Coast Guard by upgrading one of the main operational naval components, which, in terms of size and versatility, constitutes an essential segment of high operational value.

Intermarine CEO Livio Corghi commented“The award of the Italian Coast Guard tender is an important achievement that enhances our company's position as a reference player in hi-tech fast patrol vessels providing advanced operational capabilities. It consolidates our commitment and long-standing ties with the Italian Coast Guard. Renewing this collaboration on the 160th anniversary of the creation of the Italian Coast Guard, to whom I extend my warmest congratulations, is a further reason of pride for us.
